About me and my therapy practice
Counselling is an opportunity to talk over any troubling issues in a private and relaxed setting with someone who plays no other role in your life. It allows the counsellor and client to develop a non-judgemental, accepting relationship, where the client feels they are safe and able to express themselves freely.
I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor offering clients counselling sessions in person, via telephone or video-call or a blend of these, depending on client needs. I have completed training for on-line and telephone work which is in line with the BACP competencies.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on various therapeutic theories and use them to suit the unique needs of individuals. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and adhere to its ethical framework. Currently, I work for a charity offering support to young people and adults who are impacted by cancer. I also have experience working with issues such as bereavement, loss, depression, anxiety, PTSD, abuse, spirituality, trauma, childhood issues, relationship problems, work-related issues etc.
Before training as a counsellor, I worked as a teacher in secondary education for ten years. I have also worked as a youth worker, offering emotional support and pastoral care in a variety of settings. I have worked to support adults and young people all my working life.

At the first meeting, we will talk through the issues concerning you.
